Family Promise of Sussex County is hosting the third annual Service Strong Veterans Fair. This event helps connect veterans, military personnel, and military families to a wide range of organizations and providers to offer resources and services, including housing services, employment opportunities, and community resources.

Veterans and former service members are at a greater risk of homelessness than the general population. Combat exposure and PTSD are risk factors that contribute to housing instability. As the cost-of-living and inflation increase, essential expenses such as rent, utilities, and groceries become more expensive. This causes a strain on the fixed or limited incomes that many veterans rely on, making housing stability and sustainability difficult.
