Family Promise of Sussex County is hosting the third annual Service Strong Veterans Fair. This event helps connect veterans, military personnel, and military families to a wide range of organizations and providers to offer resources and services, including housing services, employment opportunities, and community resources.

Veterans and former service members are at a greater risk of homelessness than the general population. Combat exposure and PTSD are risk factors that contribute to housing instability. As the cost-of-living and inflation increase, essential expenses such as rent, utilities, and groceries become more expensive. This strains the fixed or limited incomes many veterans rely on, making housing stability and sustainability difficult.
