{"id":5080,"date":"2026-05-12T13:33:55","date_gmt":"2026-05-12T13:33:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/familypromisesussex.org\/?p=5080"},"modified":"2026-05-12T14:18:40","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T14:18:40","slug":"did-you-knownj-department-of-veterans-affairs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/familypromisesussex.org\/index.php\/2026\/05\/12\/did-you-knownj-department-of-veterans-affairs\/","title":{"rendered":"Did You Know\u2026NJ Department of Veterans Affairs\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Previously,&nbsp;veteran services&nbsp;in our state&nbsp;were part of the NJ Department of Military&nbsp;and Veteran&nbsp;Affairs&nbsp;(DMAVA).&nbsp;Starting in January 2026, the&nbsp;Department&nbsp;of Veteran Affairs&nbsp;officially separated from DMAVA, forming&nbsp;the&nbsp;NJ Department of Veterans Affairs&nbsp;(DVA).&nbsp;&nbsp;Its mission is to deliver exceptional services,&nbsp;support&nbsp;and advocacy for Garden State veterans, families, care&nbsp;givers&nbsp;and survivors.&nbsp;&nbsp;DVA honors those who have&nbsp;served and the people who love them by delivering access to earned benefits,&nbsp;programs&nbsp;and resources.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen.
